MEDICAL EVIDENCE DEVELOPMENT

Sometimes reviewing the existing record is not enough – the missing medical evidence needs to be developed before the next step is clear. MRPY offers 3 levels of medical evidence development, providing a structured, concierge-style process tailored to the individual case. Depending on the level of service and the evidence needed, this may include telemedicine evaluation, laboratory testing, imaging such as X-ray or ultrasound, sleep studies, coordination of specialist visits, and, in our highest tier, recurrent care visits to help document the condition over time. MRPY's coordination, clinical review, and included visits are covered within the selected service level. Outside testing, imaging, or specialist fees may be covered by insurance or may require an additional out of pocket cost. We help identify those potential costs and options before outside services are scheduled so you know what to expect before moving forward.

CARE WHERE YOU ARE NATIONWIDE

Veterans can access MRPY telemedicine services in most states, with in-person evaluations available in select states when appropriate.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Answers to a few common questions

DO I NEED TO KNOW WHICH SERVICE I NEED?

You don't have to. MRPY starts by reviewing your medical evidence to determine what is already documented, what may be missing, and what the evidence supports as the appropriate next step. You'll receive clear recommendations before deciding whether you need additional services.

WHY DO I NEED A MEDICAL EVIDENCE ASSESSMENT FIRST?

Because a Nexus Letter or DBQ is not always the answer. Reviewing the evidence first helps us determine whether you actually need one or whether a diagnosis, evaluation, testing, additional treatment records, or other medical evidence to come first.

WHAT IF MY MEDICAL RECORDS ARE MISSING EVIDENCE?

That's exactly what our Medical Evidence Development services are designed to address. When appropriate, MRPY can help coordinate additional evaluations, testing, imaging, specialist care, or follow up visits needed to develop a more complete medical record.

WHAT IF MY CLAIM WAS ALREADY DENIED OR I HAD A BAD C&P EXAM?

You can still start with an evidence review. We can evaluate the available medical evidence, prior decisions, and relevant examinations to identify medical issues or gaps that may need to be addressed.

DOES STARTING A REVIEW MEAN I HAVE TO BUY ANOTHER SERVICE?

The purpose of the assessment is to determine what the medical evidence supports. If additional services are appropriate, we'll explain the options and why they may be helpful. If they are not, we'll tell you that too.
